Let's focus on student-centered teaching and learning. Why not invite your students to participate in EOSET? Let them tell us about their learning experiences with technology.
We're going to use social networking so that everyone can help shape EOSET.
Register
EOSET2008 is a free event, however, seating is limited.
Sign up at eoset2008.ning.com. Answering "yes" that you will be attending EOSET2008 automatically registers you for the day.

Format
The registration desk will open at 8:30 AM. Presenters are asked to set up their posters and/or laptop demonstrations in the space allocated to them.
The symposium will begin at 9:30 AM and wrap up at 4:35 PM.
The day will be broken up into plenary sessions consisting of several 10-minute presentations followed by a discussion. Between the sessions, there will be discussion breaks, where, over coffee and tea, participants will be encouraged to view presenters' posters and/or laptop demonstrations, engage in more detailed conversations, and explore potential partnerships.
Poster display cork boards are 4' x 4'. We will supply the necessary pushpins.
While we will provide Internet access from the podium, it may not be available for the laptop demonstration. We will keep you up to date.
Submit a Proposal
There will be 3 presentations from each of the participating institutions. Before submitting a proposal, please confirm with the contact person from your institution:

Log into eoset2008.ning.com and click on the Submit Your Session link. Please submit your proposal before April 15.

Parking
Paid parking is available in the Desmarais Building for those arriving by car. The University of Ottawa offers a special rate of $12 per day for those who reserve in advance. The EOSET2008 organizing committee will reserve the space for you. Please follow these steps:
- Please fill out our parking space request form by May 1.
- Please pay for your space(s) at the EOSET2008 registration desk on May 29. Cash or cheque will be accepted.
Lunch
With so many restaurants near our downtown campus, we want to allow attendees the chance to get out and experience a little bit of Ottawa while they are in town. If you would like some recommendations, there is already a discussion about local restaurants at eoset2008.ning.com. We will also have sign-up sheets at the registration desk.
